Tess

Tess is a second-year master’s student in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022 and spent time working in the field before returning to academic studies. 

Tess has professional experience as an early childhood behavior therapist, supporting children ages 3–7 with a variety of learning differences, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. She has also worked in the pediatric unit at Boston Medical Center, collaborating with pediatric life specialists to support children ages 2–18 from diverse backgrounds who were experiencing crises.

With a passion for helping children build skills and confidence, Tess integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with play therapy techniques, to meet the unique needs of each client. She is dedicated to fostering resilience, emotional growth, and overall well-being in the children and families she serves.
