In practice I have come to understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and it is imperative that I create a safe and supportive environment where my clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.

My practice has centered around a holistic and person-centered approach. I have been trained as an art therapist at Lesley University where I graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and art therapy. Here I learned that art has the potential to engage the body, mind and soul and is a modality that all ages can benefit from.

Along with being an art therapist I am also a trained fine artist and am versed in many art techniques. Art brings a more meaningful and rich experience and provides another way for people to express themselves. Art taps into the unconscious and is a different way to access personal information, because of this different parts of the self show up.

I am passionate about using art with all ages, but with children specifically. I have used art to help children understand the zones of regulation and develop coping techniques for emotional and impulse control.
