Teen DBT Graduates Group

  Weekly group reinforcing learned DBT skills in a supportive and less intensive setting. Continue to work towards making long term changes and practice application of skills with peers also making strides towards stability, positive mindset, and their life worth living. Group will continue to focus on mindfulness (start of each session), emotion regulation, distress tolerance skills and interpersonal effectiveness. Sessions will not follow the intensive traditional curriculum but incorporate these areas in what group members bring up for discussion. Criteria for Teen DBT Graduates Group: -Must have completed a full curriculum of a DBT skills group in the last year -Higher level of care (PHP, hospitalization, etc.) has not been needed in the last 6 months -Wants to continue in a DBT group format (somewhat structured) and is not looking for a support group format (non-structured) -Can be an active participant in group both delivering and receiving support, ideas and feedback To reach out to the group leaders for more information click here or email M.Newman@ANewApproach-Counseling.com
